Text Box: The Volunteering Strategy lists 11 Key Outcomes that are anticipated to have a major positive impact on the lives of the people in Scotland. Volunteer Centres have accepted the challenge of delivering on these outcomes, and the ASPIRE Project is designed to enhanced the capacity and skills of VC personnel to this end.

OUTCOMES AND ASPIRATIONS OF ASPIRE

The ASPIRE Project is designed to add value to the major contribution that the Network of Volunteer Centres in Scotland makes to delivering on the Outcomes contained within the Scottish Executive’s Volunteering Strategy.

Specific Project Outcomes for ASPIRE have been identified. To build the capacity of Volunteer Centres for this purpose, the ASPIRE Outcomes are designed so that:

¨        Volunteer Centres have an increased capacity to deliver high quality services to the communities of Scotland throughout the Network.

¨        Volunteer Centres are learning organisations that invest in their staff and volunteers to achieve common aims and objectives.

¨        Volunteer Centres have seized the social enterprise opportunities to grow the Scottish Executive core funding.

For more about ASPIRE, please contact Karl Monsen-Elvik or Craig Russell at the Volunteer Centre on 01698 358866, or e-mail volunteer@nlvda.org.
