About inVOLve

Through the inVOLve project, the Volunteer Centre North Lanarkshire aimed to develop opportunities and carry out research for the benefit of three groups of people who are traditionally under-represented in, or even excluded from, volunteering. The three groups were:

·         People who have experienced mental health issues

·         Those who have a physical disabilities

·         Young People who may be considered excluded.

InVOLve also aimed to actively benefit volunteer-involving organisations, client referrers, and other support agencies involved with these three client groups.

The main activities of inVOLve included research, piloting, toolkit development, working with individual beneficiaries, and dissemination of information.

Standing for Inclusive Volunteering for Vocational Equality, inVOLve formed part of the EQUAL Development Partnership in Scotland, which aimed to increase employability for client groups who require additional support.

Several positive outcomes have been achieved from inVOLve, with the project running from 2005-2007. Back to Home Page
